Let Us Change the Lord’s Prayer

Dr. Nick Perrin, professor of New Testament at Wheaton College, comments on Pope Francis’ recent remarks about the last line of the Lord’s prayer (Matt 6.13). Should we say, “lead us not into temptation,” or “do not let us fall into temptation”?  Pope Francis thinks the latter, but Dr. Perrin has a very different take.
